Northern Foods purchases a range of raw materials and packaging from both the UK and overseas.
We are one of the largest UK purchasers in many categories including chocolate, cheese and free range eggs. The majority of goods we buy are from British farmers.
Our attention to quality is second to none, with our Procurement team working closely with our Supplier Auditing team to ensure that the highest technical standards are maintained throughout our supply chain. Leveraging our buying scale
Northern Foods leverages its substantial buying scale through its Group Procurement function which is focused on purchasing quality materials, ingredients and services for all Northern Foods sites from approved suppliers. This initiative has reduced an overly large supply base and delivered significant cost efficiencies for the Group.
We continue to consolidate our supply base and work with fewer, more innovative, suppliers that are focused entirely on continually improving efficiency.
