Goodfella's brand expands into chilled pizza sector
Goodfella’s, the no 1 pizza brand from Northern Foods, is expanding into the growing chilled sector of the pizza market with ‘Goodfella’s Signatore’, a premium range of chilled pizzas.
The Goodfella’s brand is already recognised for its market leading innovation in the frozen sector. Deep Pan, Thin and Crispy and Premium ranges are offered under the Deeply Delicious, Delicia and La Bottega labels. Solos, Goodfella’s single portion snacking range which was launched in September 2005, created an entire new sector of the frozen pizza market and was the UK’s fastest growing brand in 2006.
Launched in autumn 2007, the Signatore range of chilled pizzas mean that customers can now enjoy Goodfella’s quality when they visit the chilled cabinet.
Each pizza features a stone baked base, and consumers are able to choose from a range of fusion inspired recipes and signature sauces.
The range was developed with the help of the award-winning Irish chef, Carmel Sommers of the Good Things Café, the recipes have been created to meet increasing consumer demand for new, fresh and exciting flavour combinations.
Six pizzas to choose from
Matured chorizo with sun dried tomatoes & three cheeses, featuring a tomato sauce that combines a hint of chilli and a pinch of smoked paprika.
Mozzarella pearls with sun blush tomatoes & thyme, a mouth watering blend which is complemented by a specially prepared sauce of freshly crushed tomato, basil and a hint of garlic.
Cured proscuitto with rocket & crème fraiche, nicely balanced by a freshly seasoned tomato sauce, the rocket and proscuitto are provided as add-ons to use as much or as little as preferred.
Mediterranean style vegetables with cream cheese & spicy Zhug dressing, combining Mediterranean style vegetables with mascarpone, this pizza gets added zest from a spicy Zhug dressing of coriander, chillies and lime juice which is added after cooking.
Portobello & chestnut mushrooms with sliced shallots & two cheeses are complemented by a rich sauce using the finest gruyere and mozzarella cheeses with a dollop of crème fraiche.
Marinated chicken with Thai style spices & sliced spring onions, accompanied by a specially prepared sauce of lime juice, coriander, garlic, chilli and a hint of ginger.
